Hosts can create coupons to offer discounts to their campers.
This article explains how host coupons work.
Which types of coupons can I create?
You can customize several aspects of the coupon. We are constantly improving our features, and the following is customizable right now:
The coupon code - e.g. SUMMER50, WELCOME25, etc.
Type of discount - Either a value or a percentage.
Usage frequency - If the campers can use the coupon several times or only once.
The time period - Defines the period during which campers can use the coupon. Bear in mind that this period is connected to when a booking is made, not the check-in/check-out dates of the booking.
How can I create a coupon?
In your Host Dashboard, navigate to Listing > Discount Coupons. Then click in the button "Create new coupon".
How many coupons can I create?
You can create as many coupons as you want, and there's no limit on how many coupons can be activated simultaneously.
Can I deactivate a coupon?
A coupon can be deactivated (and activated back again) at any time.
Can I see how many people used the coupon?
Yes! Below each coupon you can see how many bookings were made using that specific coupon.
How can campers use the coupons?
Campers can use the coupon in the last step of our checkout flow on both website and apps. Campers will see the confirmation of the discount directly after applying the coupon. Only 1 coupon can be used in the same booking.
How do the coupons affect my revenue?
Coupons are a great way to bring more campers to your place, but those discounts affect your revenue, so it's important to be mindful of that. The money you will receive will be based on the discounted price instead of your original price.
But don't worry: Acamp's fee will always be calculated based on the discounted price (the price the camper paid). We believe that if you want to offer your campers a discount, of course we'll do the same for you. 😊
